# CogniPilot, ZROS, and Rumoca brand guidelines

Review edition. These proposed visual guidelines accompany the downloadable artwork.

## Choose a logo

Use the complete CogniPilot logo, with the brain, wing, and wordmark together.
Select the color version for the background: dark lettering for light surfaces,
white lettering for dark surfaces. Use the black or white version when color
reproduction is limited. Do not recolor the individual parts.

Use the full ZROS logo when introducing the project. It pairs the turtle-kite
symbol with **ZROS** and the exact tagline **ROS for Zephyr RTOS**.
Use the standalone symbol where the project name is already visible or the
full tagline would be too small. The full logo and symbol each have color,
color for dark backgrounds, black, and white SVG and PNG versions.

Rumoca is part of CogniPilot. Keep its gear, central R, inner disc, and blue
and copper traces together. Pair the emblem with the name Rumoca when the
project is not already identified. Use the original palette on light surfaces
and the version with reversed neutral fills on dark surfaces. Both distribution
variants have closely cropped square canvases with transparent surroundings.

All distribution SVGs have transparent backgrounds and vector paths.
Their lettering is outlined, so no fonts need to be installed.
The PNG exports are 1,200 pixels wide and have transparent backgrounds.
The light and dark gallery panels are preview surfaces, not part of the files.
Filled parts of each emblem, including Rumoca's inner disc, remain opaque.

## Clear space and size

Let x equal one tenth of the logo's displayed width. Keep at least x of
unoccupied space beyond the visible artwork on every side. Apply this to
both full logos and standalone symbols.

These are starting sizes. Check the finished result at its actual size,
especially the ZROS tagline, the gaps between the CogniPilot wing segments,
and the fine circuit traces in the Rumoca emblem.
Increase the size when the reproduction process loses detail.

## Backgrounds

Choose a plain surface with enough contrast to preserve every part of the mark.
Use the matching dark or light version. Keep photographs, patterns, and other
content outside the clear space. Transparent gaps in the SVG reveal the surface
beneath the artwork.

## Color

The CogniPilot colors below are taken from its existing color SVGs. Preserve
the supplied gray wing progression for each background version.

The Rumoca colors are taken from the original SVG. Its light-background
version retains the original colors and subtle shade variations. Its
dark-background version uses pale neutral shapes (#ECEFF3) over a navy
inner disc (#1A384F), retaining the cyan and copper circuit traces.

The two ZROS greens are the flat vector palette based on the supplied raster
artwork. The green full logo uses CogniPilot green for its tagline.
Use these sRGB values for screens. For print, proof the artwork using the
printer's color profile; no Pantone or CMYK equivalence is specified.

## Typography and names

Write **CogniPilot** and **Rumoca** in running text, and **ZROS** in capitals.
The ZROS tagline is **ROS for Zephyr RTOS**, with this spelling and capitalization.
Keep the existing outlined CogniPilot wordmark.
The ZROS full logo uses DejaVu Sans Bold for the name and DejaVu Sans for the
tagline, supplied as outlines. Keep the artwork's letter spacing and alignment.
The Rumoca emblem contains a drawn R, with no separate wordmark or tagline.

## Use the artwork consistently

- Scale proportionally and retain the complete mark.
- Keep the colors, spacing, orientation, and typography supplied in the files.
- Use the matching background variant.
- Leave the required clear space around the artwork.
- Do not stretch, rotate, crop, add shadows, outline, or replace the lettering.
- Keep partner logos separate, with clear space between identities.

Matching PNG files are alongside each SVG. The ZROS color symbol is identical in
the light and dark packages; only its full logo's lettering changes.

The Rumoca distribution PNGs are 1,200-pixel square exports of the cropped SVGs.
Add the required clear space in your layout; the export canvas has only a small
margin around the gear.
Use the named distribution files above for consistent placement.
